Marketing that costs time, not money
Most small aesthetics clinics don't need a big ad budget to fill their diary. They need a steady stream of people who trust them, and a fast, friendly reply when those people get in touch.
Here are ten ideas that cost nothing but a little time each week. Pick two or three and do them consistently rather than trying all ten at once.
The ideas
1. Complete your Google Business Profile. Add your treatments, opening hours, photos of the clinic and a booking link, and post an update once a week.
2. Ask every happy client for a review. Send your short Google review link at their review appointment, when they're happiest with the results.
3. Show real results (with consent). Before-and-after photos with the client's written permission, posted alongside honest information about what to expect.
4. Post short, helpful videos. One 30-second answer a week to a question clients really ask, like "Does it hurt?" or "How long does it last?"
5. Reply to every comment and DM quickly. Engagement helps your posts reach more people, and a fast reply often turns a question into a booking.
6. Start a referral scheme. A thank-you for clients who bring a friend, such as a skincare product or money off their next skin treatment (keep incentives away from prescription-only treatments).
7. Partner with local businesses. Hair salons, gyms, bridal shops and photographers see your ideal clients every day. Swap recommendations or run a joint evening.
8. Write one helpful blog post a month. Answer a question people search for, like aftercare or what a consultation involves. It helps you show up on Google.
9. Stay in touch with past clients. A simple monthly email or WhatsApp broadcast with news, availability and seasonal skin tips brings people back.
10. Make sure enquiries never go unanswered. All the marketing above creates enquiries, and many arrive in the evening. An auto-reply with your booking link, or an assistant that answers after hours, keeps them from going elsewhere.
Where to start this week
If you only do three things this week, make them these: update your Google Business Profile, send your review link to your five happiest recent clients, and check how quickly your clinic replies to a new enquiry sent at 9pm.
Not sure how your replies look from a patient's side? Aesthetix Intelligence runs a free missed-enquiry audit for UK clinics: one test enquiry, a timed reply and a one-page report.
